Who We Are
The Community Nursing Registry of Ottawa (CNRO) is a local non-profit organization, dedicated to providing excellent health services in the Ottawa area. We provide professional nursing care, where needed, when needed, and have been doing so for over 100 years.
We do all the screening and background work, so you can focus on your health.
Our nurses and personal support workers have a wide variety of experience, from hospital care such as Emergency, Intensive Care, Cardiac Care and Orthopedics, to home care, geriatrics, pediatrics, palliative care, foot care, mental health, public health, occupational health, dentistry and procedural nursing, and international relief. We only send nurses who have the skills needed to care for you, your family or your community.
As members of CNRO, all of our nurses and personal support workers have all met strict membership standards including being a member in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (RN, and RPNs), maintaining annual CPR certification, ongoing professional education, Police Record Check (vulnerable sector), tuberculosis screening and professional reference checks. All members carry liability insurance and workplace injury insurance. All of our nurses and personal support workers have at least two years’ experience before they can become members of CNRO.

- Home care for adults, seniors, and children
- Caregiver Relief (respite care)
- Foot Care
- In Hospital Support
